English Level - Intermediate to Advanced This course is aimed at assisting people who need to improve their skills in meeting and communicating in person with business people from other countries, such as customers, clients, partners, suppliers. The participants will learn how to improve the way they express themselves and get understood by foreign business people. There will be online support for this class so that if participants are unable to attend one or more cases because of pressing business, they can easily catch up with the material. The instructor will also provide discussion topics, articles and exercises on line to augment the classroom teaching and discussions. Among the topics that will discussed are: introducing yourself in various business situations, asking sensitive questions, persuading business associates, conducting negotiations, using cross-cultural communication, making business presentations and improving telephone communication. Instructor: Mikhael Kotykhov Originally from Russia, Mr. Kotykov received his business training in New Zealand and earned a Master's Degree in Business from Auckland University of Technology. He has taught business-oriented courses in Japan and New Zealand for the last seven years. |
