In this class you will learn how to write professional-looking magazine articles from a professional writer. He will teach you how to find an editor willing to accept your articles, interviewing techniques, developing rapport with the editor, piecing the story together, editing the story, proofreading, following editors' suggestions for changes and much more. You will also learn how to write nut graphs, introductions, conclusions and flowing prose. Advanced English skills are needed for this class.
Instructor: Alan Brender is a journalist who has written numerous magazine and newspaper articles and is the Japan correspondent for an influential weekly newspaper.

このコースでは、プロのライターから雑誌に載っているようなプロフェッショナルな文章の書き方を学びます。記事を採用してくれる編集者の探し方から、インタビュー・テクニック、編集者との関係構築方法、ストーリーのつなげ方、ストーリーの編集方法、校正の仕方、編集者の指摘への対応法などを学びます。また主題、序章、結論、そして散文体の書き方も学びます。上級の英語力が必要です。

レイクランド大学ジャパン ･キャンパス学部長補佐。数多くの雑誌や新聞に記事を発表してきたジャーナリスト。
