Intermediate Korean
LOC/KOR 11 • (Saturdays 15:00 - 17:00)

Language level: Intermediate

This class builds on the beginning Korean class and is also open to students who already have some knowledge of the Korean language. The contents of the class may be adjusted depending on the level and requests of the students. In general, we will start each session with easy, but intensive intermediate level Korean language. Students will experience language situations that they are likely to face while talking to Koreans or working with them. In principle, the class will be conducted in English; however, a moderate amount of easy Japanese may be used due to the characteristics of the Korean language. In addition to learning correct pronunciation and grammar, students will acquire insight into the Korean culture, mentality and manners. This course will provide students with a solid foundation in intermediate level Korean language.

Instructor: (Iris) In Sook Park

Iris has been an instructor of Korean in Japan for more than five years. She holds a master's degree in Tourism management from Kyung Hee University and has worked as a flight attendant for an American airline.
